Just as they did on Friday, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Colorado Rockies by the identical score of 5-4 on Saturday. The Orioles spotted the Rockies two runs early and parlayed a three-run sixth inninginto a 4-2 lead. After plating a single run in the seventh, a run that proved crucial, the Orioles surrendered two runs to the Rockies in the eighth to account for the final score.
Baltimore’s first run came via the “Buster Posey Rule”. Austin Hays (0 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 SB) opened the fifth inning with a walk, stole second base and advanced to third on a throwing error by Colorado’s Elias Diaz. Hays was called out trying to score on a Ramon Urias (0 for 3, 1 RBI) fielder’s choice, a call that was overturned upon review when it was deemed Diaz blocked homeplate.
Gunnar Henderson went 1 for 4 with 1 run scored.
Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 3 with a double, 1 run scored, 2 RBI and was hit by a pitch.

Two singles, a double and two groundouts provided the Orioles three runs in the sixth and an Anthony Santander (2 for 4, 1 2B, 1 R, 1 RBI) RBI-double capped the scoring in the seventh.

Starter Kyle Bradish (9-6) held the Rockies in check, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out 8 over 6.0 innings.
Jacob Webb had an off outing, allowing 2 runs on 1 hit with a walk in 0.1 inning.
DL Hall allowed 1 hit in the eighth (1.0 IP).
Bradish earned the win when Yennier Cano (1.0 IP) pitched a clean ninth inning for his 5th save.
