The Baltimore Orioles lost Sunday’s game with the Colorado Rockies by a score of 4-3, ending the team’s brief four game winning streak and preventing a series sweep of their NL West counterparts. Joining the buzz from a crowd of 30,773 fans was a swarm of honey bees that attached themselves to the bullpen camera, delaying the game for five minutes in the bottom of the first inning.
The Orioles trailed the Rockies through 7.5 innings until a pinch-hit, two-run homerun by Ryan O’Hearn (1 for 1, 1 HR, 1 R, 2 RBI) in the bottom of the eighth knotted the game at 3 a piece. An unanticipated throwing error by Gunnar Henderson (0 for 4) in the top of the ninth put Colorado’s Hunter Goodman on second with no outs. The Rockies cashed in on the error two groundouts later to take a 4-3 lead, a lead that held up as the final score when the Orioles went three up-three down in the home half of the ninth.

Adley Rutschman and Anthony Santander each went 1 for 4 while Ryan Mountcastle went 1 for 3 with a walk.
Jack Flaherty started and lasted 5.2 innings while allowing 3 runs on 7 hits (1 HR), walking 1 and striking out 3.
Austin Voth allowed 1 hit and struck out 1 over 2.0 innings of relief.
The ninth inning error pinned the loss on Yennier Cano (1-2) who finished with a line of 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 UER, 1 K).
