Guess who’s back?
There is just something perfect about looking at the Orioles’ lineup and seeing Gunnar Henderson at the top. The star player is back from his brief stint on the injured list and is hopefully ready to lead his team to victory.
The lineup is full of regulars, which I love to see. Kind of odd for Cedric Mullins to be slotted into the clean-up spot, but he does lead the team in home runs so I guess we’ll go with it until it doesn’t work.
When last we saw the Royals…you know what? I don’t want to talk about it. Let’s just say I hate the Royals and I always will. If you want to learn more, check out Andrea’s series preview.
Tonight is Dean Kremer’s second start of the year. His first did not go so well, which is how you end up with an 8.44 ERA after one game. A solid start tonight could make it a lot more respectable. We all know Dean is capable of pitching well on any given day, so I hope today is one of them.
Last year’s Cy Young runner-up, Seth Lugo, is on the mound for the Royals. He is the old man of the Royals at age 35. Maybe this is the year he falls apart. Or at least, I would like him to fall apart tonight. Is that too much to ask?
