High school sports roundup (March 26)

Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Wednesday, March 26.

Girls lacrosse

Fallston 18, Patterson Mill 9: The Cougars doubled up the Huskies with nine players scoring in the game. Natalie Wirth led the win with three goals and an assist. Payton Wheeler also had a hat trick in the win. Arden Riley had two goals and an assist with Olivia Parker, Camryn Dauphinais, Violet Clough and Maddie Miller also scoring twice. Natalie Schromsky and Campbell Foxx also scored.

Softball

Bohemia Manor 7, Bel Air 5: The Bobcats led 4-2 after five innings but couldn’t hold the lead. Lizzie Zarsona and Claire Bowden each drove in two runs in the loss. Addy Schrengost had two hits and an RBI.

Century 22, Winters Mill 12: The Knights outslugged the Falcons for a conference win. Kristen Kreh went 4-for-5 with a triple, double and four RBIs to lead the win. Hannah Marasco, Caylee Clark and Kate Murr all drove in three runs. Abigail Mastria, Elizabeth Ferment and Delilah Nelson all drove in two. For Winters Mill, Ashley Hennigan went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

Baseball

Liberty 6, Francis Scott Key 2: The Lions moved to 4-0 and 2-0 in Carroll County. Carter Shanks doubled and drove in a run, while Charlie Hitzel also contributed an RBI. Logan Garey had two hits and was the game’s winning pitcher, striking out seven in 4 ⅓ innings.

North Harford 7, C. Milton Wright 4: A five-run third inning was the difference for the Hawks. Jackson Armiger tripled, singled and drove in two in the win. Jedd Carll and Sean Ellis also drove in runs. Matt Hart went 3-for-4. Hart also got the win, striking out nine in four hitless innings.

Harford Tech 20, Edgewood 0: The Cobras opened with 12 runs in the top of the first. CJ Scism (seven strikeouts in three innings) and Ryan Walton (six strikeouts in two innings) combined to pitch a perfect game. Hunter Arnett, Christian Donlick, Quinton Kron, Andrew Goode and Santiago Weinhold all drove in two runs.
