The 6’7 right-hander from LSU has now made 3 starts for Aberdeen, going 1-1 and posting a 3.06 ERA over 17 innings. This most recent start is the deepest he has gone in a game at 5.1 innings and he equaled his career high of 7 strikeouts from 2024.
The Ironbirds made a furious 9th inning comeback behind the bat of catcher Ryan Stafford who hit a two run double. Pitcher Hayden Nierman earned his first save of the season allowing only one hit and bringing his season ERA down to 1.69. Nierman has only surrendered 1 run in his 5.1 innings of relief.
