O’Hearn, Holliday among Orioles listed on All-Star ballot

June 5, 2025 by Baltimore Baseball

Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutstchman

SEATTLE—Voting is underway for next month’s All-Star Game, and despite their disappointing season, the Orioles would like to get a starter or two for the July 15th game at Atlanta’s Truist Park.

Last year, they had three starters — catcher Adley Rutschman, shortstop Gunnar Henderson and pitcher Corbin Burnes.

Rutschman and Henderson are back on the ballot. The Orioles’ other nominees are first baseman Ryan Mountcastle, second baseman Jackson Holliday, third baseman Ramón Urías, outfielders Ramón Laureano, Cedric Mullins and Tyler O’Neill and designated hitter Ryan O’Hearn.

Third baseman Jordan Westburg, who was a late addition to the team in 2024, isn’t among the nominees because he’s been on the injured list for most of the season. Nor is outfielder Colton Cowser, who played his first game Tuesday night after missing more than two months with a fractured left thumb.

Voting in the first round runs through June 26th at noon Eastern time. The top two vote-getters will be announced on MLB Network at 6 p.m., and fans will then have the opportunity to vote for the starters from noon on June 30th through July 2nd at noon. Starters will be announced on July 2nd at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Pitchers and reserves will be announced on July 6th at 5 p.m. on ESPN.

Last year, the Orioles had five representatives. Besides Burnes, Rutschman, Henderson and Westburg, outfielder Anthony Santander was chosen. The five were the most since they had five in 2016.

Mullins (2021), reliever Andrew Kittredge (2021) and starting pitcher Charlie Morton (2018) are the other Orioles who have been All-Stars.
