August 17, 2023 by Last Word On Baseball

Orioles Padres

The Baltimore Orioles (74-46) are set to take on the San Diego Padres (57-63) in an exciting matchup at PETCO Park. The Orioles currently hold the top spot in the American League. They have been on a roll, winning 11 of their last 16 games. On the other hand, the Padres have struggled recently, losing seven of their last nine games. Both teams will be looking to make a statement in this game.

Orioles Look to Continue Strong Season Against Padres

The starting pitchers for this matchup will be RHP Dean Kremer for the Orioles and LHP Blake Snell for the Padres. Kremer has been impressive this season with an 11-4 record and a 4.50 ERA. He will be aiming to continue his strong performance and lead the Orioles to victory. Snell, on the other hand, has a record of 9-8 with a 2.63 ERA. He will be looking to shut down the Orioles’ offense and help the Padres bounce back from their recent struggles.

The game is scheduled to take place on August 16th at 8:40 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted on SDPA. Make sure to tune in to catch all the action!

What to Watch For

– The Orioles have been dominant on the road this season, with 38 road wins, tied for the most in the league. They will be looking to continue their success away from home.
– Dean Kremer has been a key player for the Orioles, with an impressive 7-0 record in his last seven starts. His strong performances have been a driving force behind the team’s success.
– The Padres are looking to snap their losing streak and get back on track. They currently trail the Miami Marlins by 5 1/2 games for the final NL Wild Card spot and will be aiming to make up ground in this game.
