
Samuel Basallo launched an Earl Weaver special, and Angel Tejada beat the throw home in Delmarva’s walk-off win.
Triple-A: Norfolk Tides 9, Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Yankees) 3
The RailRiders tagged Carlos Tavera for three runs in the first, but the Tides rattled off nine straight over the final eight innings. Shayne Fontana secured the lead with a two-run single in the third. Fontana finished 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored.
Errol Robinson notched a pair of RBI-singles and also worked a walk. Blake Hunt finished a triple shy of the cycle, and Heston Kjerstad drove in a pair with a two-hit night. Terrin Vavra went 1-for-4 with a run scored, and Billy Cook managed a single in five trips.
Jackson Holliday went 0-for-4 from the leadoff spot but did work a walk.
Tavera settled down to go 4.1 innings with only the three runs allowed. Matt Krook, Nolan Hoffman and Kade Strowd combined for six strikeouts over 4.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Double-A: Bowie Baysox 6, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets) 3
Samuel Basallo broke a scoreless tie with a three-run homer in the third inning. The Earl Weaver special provided Bowie plenty of momentum, and Silas Ardoin added an RBI single for a four-run fourth.

John Rhodes drove in the fifth run with a single in the fifth, and Collin Burns launched his third Double-A homer in the sixth inning. Rhodes and Jud Fabian accounted for four of Bowie’s seven hits.
Cameron Weston, Dylan Heid and Lincoln Henzman combined for the shutout victory. Weston tossed five innings of one-hit ball with a pair of walks and six strikeouts. Heid delivered three perfect innings with 4 K’s, and Henzman posted a clean ninth inning.
High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) 13, Aberdeen IronBirds 3
Aberdeen fell back to .500 (27-27) after a blowout loss in Brooklyn. Starter Edgar Portes only allowed one run over the first four innings, but Graham Firoved allowed five runs despite recording only one out. Deivy Cruz relieved Firoved and managed to allow five more runs, but at least Cruz tallied a full inning of work.
Tavian Josenberger went 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk. Enrique Bradfield tallied a single in five trips, and Mac Horvath finished 0-for-3 with a free pass. Both Matthew Etzel and Douglas Hodo III recorded multi-hit games. Etzel and Hodo scored Aberdeen’s three runs.
Game 1: Low-A: Delmarva Shorebirds 5, Lynchburg Hillcats (Guardians) 4 F/7
Lynchburg took the lead with three runs in the top of the seventh, but Delmarva battled back for a walk-off victory. Noelberth Romero trimmed the lead to one with a sacrifice fly, and Luis Valdez won the game with a two-run single. Angel Tejada raced home and beat the tag on a bang-bang play at the plate.

Aron Estrada and Kevin Guerrero both finished 2-for-3. Lynchburg intentionally walked Tejada to get to Valdez.
Game 2: Low-A: Lynchburg Hillcats (Guardians) 12, Delmarva Shorebirds 0
Delmarva failed to carry its momentum into Game 2. Valdez and Brayan Hernández picked up the only two hits of the game.
