The minor league regular season wraps up today.
Triple-A: Nashville Sounds (MIL) 6, Norfolk Tides 1
You won’t win many games with just three hits and last night was no exception for the Tides. Their lone run came on a home run from the rehabbing Jordan Westburg, who I hope to see in the Orioles lineup this afternoon.
The homer came in Westburg’s second at-bat in the game; a pitch hit him in the first. Don’t hit him! Jeez. Westburg and fellow rehabbing teammate Ramón Urías came out of the game after four innings. But don’t fret, it was pre-planned. Urías went 0-for-2 and the third rehabber, Ryan Mountcastle, was hitless in four at-bats.
On the 13th pitch of the at bat, Jordan Westburg blasts his 1st homer on rehab!

The other two hits in the game were by Forest Wall and Anthony Servideo, both singles. Recently demoted Coby Mayo played as the DH and struck out twice, but did reach via walk.
Justin Armbruester pitched five innings in his final start of the season and allowed four runs. He walked three batters and gave up two home runs. He finishes the 2024 season with a disappointing 7.54 ERA.
Relief pitchers Kade Strowd and Brooks Kriske pitched two innings apiece. Each gave up a single run.
Today’s Schedule
The Tides wrap up their 2024 season today with a 1:05 pm matinee at Harbor Park. They are hosting their final Bark at the Park of the season, which is exciting if you live near Norfolk and like cute dogs. Tucker Davidson gets the ball for the final start of the season.
