SARASOTA, Florida—Orioles centerfielder Cedric Mullins left Monday’s Grapefruit League game against Minnesota in the first inning because of right hamstring discomfort.
Mullins walked to lead off the Orioles’ first. He advanced to second on catcher Adley Rutschman’s grounder to short but left the game one pitch into Gunnar Henderson’s at-bat. Mullins left the field and headed to the Orioles’ clubhouse.
He had two stints on the injured list in 2023 with right adductor/groin strains and was hitting .222 in Grapefruit League games.
