It’s a big game for Father’s Day at the yard.
These two teams entered the weekend as World Series contenders, and everything that has happened through these first two games confirms that this would be a spectacular matchup in the fall.
Today is set up to be a perfect finale. Both teams have ace-level pitchers on the mound and star-studded lineups to face them. The weather should be perfect and the Camden Yards seats will be full. This is baseball at its peak.
It’s the sort of game that should be featured on Sunday Night Baseball, right? Nah. You see, the Yankees are playing a mediocre Red Sox team. That, in the eye of league decision makers, is far more important.
At least we can get the quality baseball out of the way early in the day. Gives us all an opportunity to have a nice dinner with dad or something else to celebrate the occasion.
