The Orioles will look to dodge the rain and win the series tonight at Camden Yards.
Update: The Orioles announced that the start of tonight’s game will be delayed due to inclement weather.
Adley Rutschman and Cedric Mullins are both back in the lineup for Game 3 against the Cardinals. There’s significant rain in the forecast, but the O’s hope they can sneak an official contest in at some point this evening.
Rutschman is slotted in as the designated hitter, and Maverick Handley will do the catching. The Orioles will send out a stronger defensive unit with Mullins in center, Dylan Carlson in left, and Ryan O’Hearn set to play right field. Jorge Mateo and Heston Kjerstad both struggled in the field last night, and both will begin tonight’s game on the bench.
Jackson Holliday will leadoff and play second base. Ramón Urías will bat sixth with Rutschman returning to the two-hole. Ryan Mountcastle will play first base, and Gunnar Henderson will take short.
Cade Povich will look to win the battle against St. Louis starter Miles Mikolas (4-2, 3.51 ERA).
