Question: I can’t be the only one to ask who fans should be more upset with. Brandon Hyde and the players are doing what they can with what they’ve been handed. I’m worried no one is going to want to come here to play. From: Robin Powell
Answer: Robin, as you might expect I received lots of emails and messages from fans who are upset. Many are upset with Mike Elias, and others with Hyde. Others blame ownership.
I’m not going to advise who you should be upset with, but so far, many of the players aren’t hitting as well as they have in the past, and the pitchers aren’t pitching as well as in the past. Many fans think Elias hasn’t done enough to improve the club, and there’s general unrest over Hyde.
Perhaps in the next couple of weeks they’ll start playing better, and you can actually enjoy being a fan, but I understand your frustration.
Question: Could the Orioles look at bringing Lance Lynn out retirement? His stats from 2024 would lead the Orioles. He was on MLB network and said the money wasn’t there and that’s why he retired. He thinks he still has stuff in the tank. From: John Lantz
Answer: John, I think Lance Lynn is a fine idea, but if he were signed today, he would need six weeks or perhaps longer, if he hasn’t been throwing, before he’s ready to pitch in a major league game. I don’t know if the Orioles reached out to him, but if they want another depth piece, Lynn wouldn’t be a bad idea.
