A woman was fatally stabbed in Ellicott City, according to the Howard County Police Department.
At 3:06 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to an apartment on the 3100 block of West Springs Drive for a woman suffering from stab wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators said they found no signs of forced entry, leading police to believe the attack was targeted. A suspect, known to the victim, has been identified and detained by Howard County police officers.
