Seemingly never out of any game they play, the Baltimore Orioles overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 Tuesday night. Back to back homeruns in the fifth inning started the comeback and two runs in the sixth gave the Birds the lead and good pitching made the lead stick.
Cedric Mullins (1 for 5, 1 Run, 1 RBI, 1 SB) and Adley Rutschman (2 for 4, 1 Run, 1 RBI, 1 BB) went yard in the fifth.
In the sixth, two walks, two singles and a groundout produced two runs and put the Orioles in the lead.
Pitching was the story of this game, however. Dean Kremer (5-4) gave the O’s a 7.0 inning start, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, walking 1, striking out 6 and inducing 11 groundouts; he earned the win. The two runs allowed came on Vladimir Guerrero, Jr’s first inning two-run homerun. Dillon Tate (1.0 IP) and Felix Bautista (1.0 IP, 2 K) finished the job with Bautista earning his 7th save.
Ramon Urias went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.
Terrin Vavra went 0 for 2 with a walk and a run scored.
