With Dolson finishing her duties at All-Star Weekend, the Mystics are now in Olympic or summer vacation mode. They won’t be playing regular season games until Aug. 15 when they play the Minnesota Lynx on the road.
The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game is tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET. You can watch it on ABC, or WJLA-TV here in the DMV. The game will be a WNBA All-Star vs. USA Basketball women’s national team friendly which will not be a “glorified exhibition.” It will be a true dogfight. There are no Washington players who will be in the game and they are the only team without a player representative. However, the Mystics are in the game via a coaching representative because General Manager Mike Thibault is an assistant coach for Team USA.
In 2021, the All-Star Gamed featured Team USA against the WNBA All-Stars before the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In that game, Team USA lost, 93-85 though the Americans ultimately went on to win the Gold Medal against Japan.
