The conversation around LeBron James and Michael Jordan never stops. But Brogdon doesn’t fall into the trap of comparisons. Instead, he acknowledges the greatness in both — especially what LeBron is doing now in Year 22. “One, I think that it’s hard to compare greatness on that level. I think that they’re the greatest to play in regards to picking up a basketball,” Brogdon said. “At 40, I think that LeBron is playing at a higher level but I think medicine and I think science has come a long way,” he added. “But I think also longevity has to be counted for LeBron — he’s the first player in this game to have longevity that is counted against him, you know? It’s one of his downfalls.” That last point — subtle but powerful — speaks volumes. We’ve never seen anyone do what LeBron is doing this late in his career. And yet, Brogdon says, that same longevity is used by some as a knock. “So you know I think that definitely it’s something that gives him a nod when you’re comparing the two.”

A tremendous 2-way play from LeBron, who stripped Edwards in transition, and then finished through two Wolves at the rim to put LA up 92-81. – 12:32 AM

“It’s been great,” says Vanderbilt of playing with James. “Being able to learn and be around and be teammates with one of the best players to ever play, and just watching him each and every day, it’s been inspiring. He’s been—even at this age—leading our team ever since I’ve been here. Just being able to watch his approach and how you take care of yourself, how you approach the game, super dope.” -via Responsible Gaming / April 21, 2025
During an appearance on NBA on TNT on Tuesday night, Pritchard opened up about his achievement while talking with Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley. “I mean, it’s just a lot of people in the Celtics organization,” Pritchard said when asked what it’s like to be the latest Boston player to win the award that is also named after one of the greatest players of the franchise. “Obviously, John Havlicek being named…Kevin McHale. Obviously, a couple of other guys, Malcolm Brogdon. When I was here with him, I watched him win it. Yeah, Bill Walton. So, yeah, this is definitely an honor.” -via Clutch Points / April 22, 2025
