
The Mystics sent their 2025 third round draft pick in exchange for the guard.
On Saturday, the Washington Mystics announced that they acquired guard Jade Melbourne from the Seattle Storm in exchange for Washington’s third round pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Melbourne, who is 21 years old, was the No. 33 pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft to the Storm, and she began playing for them in 2023. Melbourne averaged 2.6 points per game in 29 appearances last season.
This season, Melbourne averaged 5 points per game in the preseason for Seattle. She is also an Australian citizen, where she played for the Opals was in 2021 in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup and the 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
