NBA 2K25 ratings: Sykes is the Mystics’ top rated player at an 85

The Mystics’ season is over, but you can continue to play on your video game consoles as them!

Recently, I wrote about the Washington Wizards’ NBA 2K25 ratings with Kyle Kuzma leading the way with an 83. I apologize for the super late post on this, but today, I will write about the Washington Mystics’ ratings on the same game.

Like recent years, NBA2K allows players to play entire seasons as WNBA teams. In addition there is an improved player story mode, or “W Mode” to match their NBA counterparts.

Since the Mystics didn’t make the WNBA playoffs or have any WNBA All-Stars, it should be no surprise that they were tied for the lowest rated WNBA team at an 80. However, perhaps some players, in particular international players, were rated too low, and Washington has more such players than many other teams. Here are the ratings of all the players below:

  1. Brittney Sykes, 85
  2. Shakira Austin, 83
  3. Stefanie Dolson, 83
  4. Ariel Atkins, 83
  5. Aaliyah Edwards, 79
  6. Karlie Samuelson, 76
  7. Sug Sutton, 76
  8. Sika Kone, 74
  9. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough 74
  10. Emily Engstler, 73
  11. Jade Melbourne, 73
  12. Julie Vanloo, 71

Relatively speaking, I think most of the players’ ratings are accurate. And I agree that Sykes is the Mystics’ best individual player, though she also isn’t one of the Top 10 players overall in the WNBA. Also, Austin, Dolson and Atkins are all solid players who all should be in the 80s.

I’d also say that Melbourne and Vanloo’s ratings are a bit low. Melbourne averaged 5.5 points this game and played significant minutes when the Mystics were making their late season run. Vanloo averaged 7.4 points and 4.3 assists per game in the 2024 season, starting in 34 of Washington’s games.

Of all WNBA players, Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson was the highest rated with a 99. Yes, she is a 99. She was also named the 2024 WNBA MVP this weekend.

There are many players available as free agents as well. The highest rated ones are Chiney Ogwumike, Emma Cannon and Han Xu at a 79. Former Mystics forward Tianna Hawkins is right behind at a 78.

Let us know your thoughts on the player ratings in the comments below.
