On Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Washington Wizards acquired the No. 14 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Malcolm Brogdon and a 2029 NBA Draft pick from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for forward Deni Avdija.

Avdija previously played four seasons, all with the Wizards, where he averaged a career-high 14.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Brogdon comes to Washington with eight years of NBA experience, where he played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics before suiting up for Portland in the 2023-24 NBA season. In the 2023-24 season, Brogdon averaged 15.7 points and 5.5 assists in 39 games. With Brogdon coming to Washington, this may all imply that Tyus Jones, the Wizards’ starting point guard last season, will be going elsewhere this offseason.
We will talk more about this in the live show on the open thread, and tomorrow. But for now, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
