Watkins comes from Florida State and started his college career at VCU.
The Washington Wizards selected guard-forward Jamir Watkins at No. 43 overall on Thursday in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Watkins played college basketball most recently at Florida State, averaging 18.4 points per game for the Seminoles in the 2024-25 college season. He previously played at VCU in Richmond where he spent his first two college seasons.
