The Wizards hold picks 2, 26, and 51 in this year’s draft.
The Washington Wizards hold the 2nd, 26th, and 51st picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. Tristan Vukcevic is currently their only young and intriguing big man prospect on the roster and he likely projects as more of a stretch big who doesn’t protect the basket particularly well.
Given that, the Wizards could very well use one of their three picks in this draft to select either a big who could complement Vukcevic’s skillset or just give them another promising developmental option. To discuss the center options in this draft, I was joined on Bleav in Wizards by NBA Draft analyst Ersin Demir. Demir has written about many of these players in great detail on his substack. The audio version of the episode is currently live wherever you get your podcasts and the YouTube/Twitter/X stream will go live at 11:30 a.m. EST today.
In this episode, we cover the names most likely to be in play around each of their respective picks. We break down each player’s game and discuss their fit with the Wizards. Sarr was our favorite with the 2nd pick, if he’s available, and Ware was my favorite with the 26th pick, if he’s still on the board.
