Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford says high-flying forward Miles Bridges will “have a significant role right away” when he returns to the team on Friday following the completion of his 30-game suspension for domestic violence charges in Nov. 2022. “I think he’ll be ready to play. He’s in practice every day. So he’s been well organized when he’s there,” Clifford said ahead of tipoff against the Knicks on Sunday. “He’s in really good shape. He’s worked hard. What are expectations for the Hornets this season? Steve Clifford: I think our goal here, if you talk to our guys, is we want to be a playoff team regardless of how we get there, and particularly when we get Miles back. I think, again, we will have depth. We have a lot of different ways that we can play. We have a versatile roster, and the whole thing to me is how we grow together. We may not be a top-six team right here today, but we have guys that are working.
