They also believe that the Mystics will have two All-Stars and/or Team USA players at most.
Thanks for answering our questions this past week, Washington Mystics fans. Here are the results from this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey!
Most Mystics fans believe the team will miss the 2024 WNBA Playoffs
First, thanks to the over 200 people who responded to this week’s survey. We asked two questions to you Mystics fans, to see how you feel as we head to the regular season which starts next Tuesday.
In one of our questions, we asked whether you believe the Mystics will make the 2024 WNBA Playoffs. Only 42 percent of you believe that will happen.

I agree. I don’t see the Mystics making the playoffs this season assuming everything goes as expected. They lost two starters in Elena Delle Donne and Natasha Cloud and didn’t acquire the same level of talent to replace them. We’ll have a more formal preview on Monday with my take on what the best and worst cases are from a win and loss perspective.
Mystics fans expect to see one or two All-Stars or Team USA players this season
Good morning Mystics fans, the @sbnreacts results are in!
We asked you how many All-Stars and/or Team USA players Washington will have. Nearly half of you said just one. pic.twitter.com/ZIvAAg5EnB

Our other question asked how many players you believe will make the All-Star Team or the USA Basketball women’s national team this year. The mode was one player with 46 percent, followed by two players at 27 percent.
I believe the Mystics will get no more than two players as All-Stars or Team USA players. Ariel Atkins has the best chance of the players on this roster to make Team USA, followed by Shakira Austin. Atkins was on the 2020 Olympic Team and the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup while Austin was on the World Cup team only.
It also wouldn’t be a shock to see Brittney Sykes also make the All-Star Team as well considering her breakout campaign last year. And finally, Stefanie Dolson made two All-Star appearances in her career and still has a lot of good basketball left in her. Could she be a dark horse to make the All-Star team as well if the Mystics play a lot better than what the bookies believe?
We will have more Mystics Reacts survey after the 2024 WNBA season begins!
