The Mystics head to Chicago to face the Sky after two straight losses.
The Washington Mystics (8-10) had a tough couple of losses. They lost a few days ago to the Lynx in Minnesota 75—92, and just before that to the Wings in Dallas 71—79.
Now their road trip continues to Chicago for another touch game on the road. Even though the Sky are not doing well in the rankings they are in much need of that home win on their end. Will be a struggle!
Here is the preview.

Pregame notes
The Washington Mystics already climbed up to .500 a week or so ago when they sat at 8-8, but then a tough road trip started and is risking tumbling them down much lower in the standings. After a pair of losses in Dallas and Minnesota, the Mystics are looking to rebound now with a win over a sub-.500 team they should beat.
The Mystics are also enjoying the fact that Kamilla Cardoso is out for the Sky while playing for the Brazilian National Team in the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup. That’s the Americas’ equivalent of Women’s EuroBasket.
The scoring woes have been apparent in the last two matches, with Washington struggling to score (just 71 and 75 points in these matches).
Lucy Olsen has been an unexpected and shining spark off the bench, though. In Minnesota she contribued 19 points in just 17 minutes! Impressive. Maybe that can be the scoring spark that the Mystics can use now.
Here is a nostalgic throwback: highlights from a Mystics’ psrevious game against the Sky, with Sykes erupting for a signature performance!
