What to watch for
I am writing this preview before the Mystics’ game against the Chicago Sky, which is being played tonight. Both games are being held at Capital One Arena, which seats about 16,000 more fans than Entertainment & Sports Arena, in order to accommodate the flocks of fans coming see Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
The Mystics enter the matchup against the Fever as the WNBA’s last winless team at 0-10. The Fever are not much better with a putrid 2-9 record. Clark is the hot ticket item of the young WNBA season, and whether she is playing well or not she is a huge reason the WNBA is seeing substantially more crossover appeal this year. Her presence alone has the lowly Fever dominating WNBA attendance numbers.
Fever at Mystics tips off tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
