Let’s go!
The Washington Wizards had a nice winning streaking recently, but all on the road. Then they came home and lost two straight, to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks. The Wizards have actually lost 9 straight in DC. It would be nice not to extend this streak to double-digits but that seems unlikely given the ascent of the Spurs and especially their newly arrived star, Fox.
And regarding the recent three-game winning streak on the road (impressive!): the question arose — are we seeing the team form some identity or was it just a schedule fluke? Well, you can guess the answer, but it was still nice. Tomorrow, against the Spurs however there will be no easy wins or schedule wins — this team is all in on making the playoffs already this year.
And they just made some major moves at the deadline.

Pregame notes
The final stretch before the All-Star Break— The Wizards can probably use this upcoming All-Star Break to regroup and figure out their direction/intentions/rotation for the remainder of the season. They are still stuck with Poole, though they were able to move Kuzma, but for so little compared to his value a year or two ago. It will be very interesting how the new guys fit in, and how the team will look like around Coulibaly and Sarr. It’s interesting Kispert wasn’t moved at the deadline.
Poole — The question now begs itself — what is the future of Poole in this league (and on the Wizards)? It seems no team was interested to grab him. Maybe he’s just staying here.
Flashback: Wizards easily defeated by Spurs a couple seasons ago
This 116-99 loss to the Spurs signaled the beginning of the down-slide of the Bradley Beal era Wiz. Here are the highlights from that gamer:
