We’re finally at Game 82, folks.
The Washington Wizards will close their season with a matinee matchup against the league-leading Boston Celtics.
Game info
When: Sunday, April 14 at 1 p.m. ET.
Where: TD Garden, Boston, Mass.
TV: Monumental Sports Network, League Pass
Radio: The Team 980 AM or 106.7-2 FM
What to watch for
The season is mercifully coming to an end Sunday against the team favored to hoist up the Larry O’Brien trophy in two month’s time.
If Washington’s lineups in the previous games are any indication, the Wizards will probably trot out their B-squad for the season finale. The Celtics, who locked up the NBA’s best record two weeks ago, will more than likely do the same.
The bench battle may bless us with one final sighting of Deni Avdija as a first option and Corey Kispert as his wingman.
Tristan Vukcevic has filled the rookie-watch void since Bilal Coulibaly was ruled out for the season. In the final game of his first year, he could give Wiz supporters more reasons to see him as a piece for the future. Vukcevic has scored in double figures in each of his last five games.
It’s been an arduous campaign for most Wizards fans — but this is (hopefully) the low point we’ll look back on once the rebuild finally bears fruit down the road.
