What to watch for
The Wizards are coming off a narrow 82-80 loss to Portland, a game that saw No. 2 pick Alex Sarr shoot 0-15 from the field with zero points. Washington’s top selection will look to bounce back as the Wizards take on the Kings.
No. 14 pick Bub Carrington enters Thursday’s contest averaging 19.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 42.3% from three. Carrington has been a bright spot for Washington this summer as their lead guard.
Justin Champagnie has also been solid through the Wizards first three Summer League games. The former Pittsburgh Panther is currently on a two-way contract, a deal that could certainly get converted to a standard NBA deal before the season begins.
As for Sacramento, their No. 13 pick Devin Carter recently underwent shoulder surgery will miss Thursday’s contest vs. Washington.
