Emily Engstler led with 23 points for Washington.
It didn’t take long for the Washington Mystics to get their season back on track as of late. They have now won three of their last four games, including a 97-69 blowout win over the Dallas Wings on Saturday at home.
The Mystics nearly led wire to wire in this one, shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 42.3 percent (11-of-26) from the three point line. What’s even more impressive is that the Mystics didn’t have starting guard Brittney Sykes or center Shakira Austin who were out due to injury.
Emily Engstler led the Mystics with 23 points and 9 rebounds off the bench while Stefanie Dolson added 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Karlie Samuelson also added 17 points.
For the Wings, they were held to 39.4 percent shooting for the game, but were led by Natasha Howard, who scored 19 points.
Though the Mystics won big today, they won’t have much time to celebrate. Washington has another game tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET against … you guessed it! The Wings. See you mañana.
