The Wiz never led in this one.
The Washington Wizards got thoroughly outplayed by the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday in a 106-82 contest at Capital One Arena.
The Wizards came out flat from the jump. They were outscored 14-0 to start the contest and made just one of their first 14 shot attempts. The closest Washington got was when they cut the deficit to 31-20 on a Corey Kispert floater to begin the second quarter. But Toronto added onto their lead by halftime, 57-38.
Kispert tallied eight points at the half, all from points in the paint. Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards in first-half scoring with nine points and six rebounds. He also made an incredible shot from behind the backboard that would be an automatic letter in any game of HORSE.

The Raptors ran away with this one in the second half. The Wizards never threatened a comeback and trailed by as many as 29 points in this one.
Washington committed 27 turnovers that turned into 32 points off turnovers for Toronto. The Wizards also shot just 5/30 (16.7%) from beyond the arc. Those numbers are a perfect recipe for a blowout contest.
The Raptors did come into this one on a four-game win streak and were winners of six of their last seven. But it’s a tough result when you get completely rinsed by a fellow bottom-dweller.
Kuzma tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds in this one. Justin Champagnie (12) and Kyshawn George (10) were the only other players in double figures for D.C.
The Wizards get another chance to end their streak tomorrow against the Los Angeles Lakers.
