The Washington Wizards forward is happy in D.C., but other teams still want to see if he is available
Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma is happy to be in the nation’s capital, according to all reports. He is coming off a season where he averaged a career-high 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. And he is still a coveted trade target by other teams when the summer draft and free agency period get underway.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, other NBA teams are coveting Kuzma as they head into the 2024 NBA Draft. Scotto also mentioned that the Wizards almost traded Kuzma to the Dallas Mavericks before the trade deadline last season.
In that near-trade situation, one thing the Wizards wanted to receive two first round picks in exchange for Kuzma, something no team was willing to do last season. Given that Kuzma is happy in Washington as well, this is probably still a starting point for any negotiations for him this time around.
Do you think Kuzma will be traded this offseason? To me, I still think that he stays in the end. Let us know in the comments below.
