The Wizards point guard is considered to be one of the top players at his position on the market this July.
Tyus Jones is the Washington Wizards’ most desirable free agents this July. It shouldn’t be a shock to anyone if he leaves the team in just a few days. But don’t be surprised if the Wizards aren’t “left with nothing” either.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Wizards are open to a sign-and-trade scenario involving Jones. It isn’t clear which team(s) are interested in signing, but technically acquiring Jones in a deal, since there aren’t many reports on X saying that front offices are at Jones’ door.
I’m not surprised because Jones isn’t one of the “A-list” free agent like Paul George and Chris Paul, who were the most courted players last night. But Jones is still one of the top free agents this year, so there should be no doubt that he and his agent(s) are in contact with teams since 6 p.m. last night.
