Steve Kerr: There’s a lot of examples of being angry at Draymond Green

September 18, 2024 by Hoops Hype

Steve Kerr: “There’s a lot of examples of being angry at Draymond Green. The first one that jumps to mind is the Jordan Poole incident. Draymond and I are a lot alike in many ways. People probably wouldn’t see that from the outside, but we’re both kind of maniacal competitors, and we’ve lost our minds with each other during games—disagreements about strategy. But he crossed the line with Jordan, and he knows it. He knew it immediately, and it made that season incredibly difficult for everybody.”

More on this storyline

Before the Thursday Night Football showdown between the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins, Draymond Green did an interview with NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, where he issued a warning to George amid his departure to Philly. “Good luck Paul George,” Draymond Green said. “Aw, he better play well or they’re going to crush Paul George if he don’t play well, oh my god. You know why they’re gonna crush Paul George if he don’t play well there? Because they already got a nasty taste in their mouth from their last three (small forward) that they had. With Tobias Harris. They never felt like he brought it, so that’s why.” -via Clutch Points / September 13, 2024
Fallon then asked who would be named NBA MVP next year, to which Tatum replied, “Can I say myself?” He also said Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is the NBA player that would make for the best WWE wrestler and that Jimmy Kimmel would win a 1-on-1 basketball tournament between every late-night host. -via nbcsportsboston.com / September 12, 2024
Charles Barkley: “I don’t think Kevin Durant wants to be a leader. He just wants to play basketball, and that’s fine, but somebody on that team has to step up and be the leader. It worked in Golden State because they had Steph Curry and Draymond Green to lead. But in Phoenix, someone needs to take that role, and in my opinion, it has to be Devin Booker. You can’t have a team without a leader. Kevin just wants to hoop, and that’s fine, but Devin has to take on that leadership role if they want to win a championship.” -via YouTube / September 10, 2024
