The 2024 WNBA season isn’t just about the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty. But the rebuilding Mystics may very well be one of the worst teams in the league this season.
Last summer, the Washington Wizards were DraftKings Sportsbook’s preseason pick to be the worst team of the 2023-24 season. They weren’t far off from being right as the Wizards finished with the second-worst season in the league, and the worst season in franchise history.
So … how will the Washington Mystics do now that training camp is underway and the offseason moves have settled?
I hate to break it to you, but the bookies are Mystics haters too, at least for 2024.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Mystics have the longest odds of being the 2024 WNBA champions, with odds of +10000, more than any other team.
So what does this +10000 mean? It means that if you bet $100 that the Mystics win the 2024 WNBA championship and they do, you will win $10,000! Not a bad return on investment, eh?
That said, which team or teams have the second longest odds? They are the Chicago Sky and Los Angeles Sparks with +8000 odds. The Las Vegas Aces are the favorites with +100 odds and the New York Liberty are second at +250.
I don’t expect the Mystics to make the playoffs, but let’s at least hope that they are competitive in games.
