Thirteen games will be on a national television network and nine more on a national streaming only platform. Monumental Sports Network will air all games except those on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, CBS or Ion.
The 2024 WNBA season and Washington Mystics’ schedules have been out for awhile. But it’s time to break down the games on national television and national streaming.
National TV games
National broadcasting games include ESPN, ESPN2, Ion, ABC, CBS, CBS Sports Network and NBA TV. The D.C. affiliates for Ion are WPXW-TV (Channel 66) for Ion; WJLA-TV (Channel 7) for ABC; and WUSA-TV (Channel 9) for CBS.
Here are the 13 games on National TV. Five are on NBA-TV, five are on Ion, one is on CBS, one on CBS Sports Network, and one is on ESPN. There are no games on ESPN2 or ABC this season, though schedules are subject to change.

National streaming only games
The WNBA has been forward thinking by leaning into streaming only platforms before most other leagues, including the MLS. Nine games are considered to be national broadcasting games, but are only available on ESPN3 or Amazon Prime:
- Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. ET vs. New York Liberty (ESPN3)
- Thursday, May 23 at 10 p.m. ET at Phoenix Mercury (Prime)
- Saturday, June 23 at 3 p.m. ET vs. Dallas Wings (ESPN3)

What is the Mystics’ regional sports network?
All Mystics games that aren’t on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, Ion or CBS are on Monumental Sports Network, f/k/a NBC Sports Washington (if you haven’t watched the network since last summer). Monumental Sports Network will also air Mystics games that are only on national streaming.
When the Mystics are at home, you will get to watch Meghan McPeak do play by-play while Christy Winters-Scott is the primary color analyst.
They are very familiar faces to those of you who watch Wizards games on Monumental Sports Network, because McPeak is the sideline reporter for Wizards games while Winters-Scott is one of the Wizards’ postgame show hosts.
WNBA games that aren’t on national TV are generally only aired by the home team’s crew. So if the Mystics are on the road, you generally listen to the other team’s crew.
