In a funny way, the Phoenix Suns knew they were going to trade Chris Paul to the Washington Wizards as early as last year.
During a game in February of 2022, Paul had a beautiful pass for Mikal Bridges, who finished it off. It led to the Suns tweeting “CHRIS PAUL, YOU ARE A WIZARD.”

Paul was traded to the Wizards on Sunday evening as part of the Bradley Beal trade, though he may not stay with them for long. He’s expected to go to a contender once the Wizards flip him.
Still, it’s funny that the Suns jokingly predicted that Paul would be a Wizard at some point during his career.
Paul finished this past season averaging 14 points, nine assists, and four rebounds per game.
This trade might be the one that really kickstarts the NBA offseason.
