The former Washington Wizards players are now with the Indiana Pacers.
Former Washington Wizards players Thomas Bryant and Quenton Jackson have played pivotal roles in the Indiana Pacers’ journey to the 2025 NBA Finals, underscoring the Wizards’ history of developing talent that flourishes elsewhere. It isn’t entirely the Wizards’ fault, but it’s also telling when players aren’t playing on thriving Wizards teams but end up playing (and start thriving) elsewhere.
Hats off to Greg Finberg for noting this today on X last night.

Bryant, who played for the Wizards from 2018 to 2022, grew into being a starting center known for his energy and scoring ability. During his tenure in Washington, he averaged up to 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in the 2020-21 season. Now with the Pacers, he’s contributing as a reliable backup center, averaging 6.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in the 2024-25 season.
Jackson had a brief stint with the Wizards during the 2022-23 season, appearing in nine games and averaging 6.2 points per game. After some time in the G League, he signed a two-way contract with the Pacers in March 2024. In the 2024-25 season, Jackson has become a valuable rotation player, averaging 5.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
Best of luck to Bryant and Jackson in the NBA Finals. And hopefully, the Wizards can get on a path to being a championship contending team soon.
