Washington Wizards guard Trae Young will be out indefinitely due to a pair of injuries. In the Wizards loss on Monday, Young suffered a contusion to his right quadriceps. This is a reinjury of the quad, which the veteran guard had only recently recovered from. In addition, related imaging showed that Young has been suffering pain due to lower back irritation.
With roughly three weeks remaining in the regular season, Young is likely to miss the remainder of the season. The Wizards recently announced that Anthony Davis is also going to remain out indefinitely, as he rehabs a hand injury. Washington is focused on getting both Young and Davis to full health ahead of next season.
