Washington seeks redemption in second game this week vs. Orlando
The Wizards head to Amway Center for the second time in three nights as they face the surging Magic. Orlando is coming off of their eight-straight win Wednesday and is in search of more.
For Washington to steal this game, interior defense is key. Orlando ranks sixth in paint points per game this season, something they added to Wednesday against a poor Wizards defense. Daniel Gafford can’t be left on an island in pick & roll defense, which happens far too often.
Additionally, Jordan Poole needs to string together multiple efficient nights. He was solid last game offensively versus Orlando, but needs to bring that effort and then some if Washington wishes to win this game.
Look for bench play to be key tonight. Washington’s second unit has been a big part of their wins this season, but was out-scored 65-45 on Wednesday. They need to contribute big time to steal a W in Orlando.
