Game Notes and More
- The Wizards, as has been well documented, are the worst team in the NBA this season. Their league-worst defensive rating surely looks scrumptious to Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, who will both be scoring at will (except when being guarded by Bilal Coulibaly).
- The Suns have a massive trade up their sleeve, and it almost certainly involves shipping out Bradley Beal once he waives his no-trade clause. The flirtation between Phoenix and Jimmy Butler has been incredibly public, and it feels right now that it’s just a matter of time before the trigger is pulled.
- On that note, the Wizards are another team likely to be incredibly active at the trade deadline. I expect Jonas Valanciunas, Malcolm Brogdon and Kyle Kuzma to find new homes over the next couple of weeks.
