The Washington Wizards were granted a Disabled Player Exception for Cam Whitmore, reported Jake Fischer.
Whitmore was ruled out for the season due to a blood clotting issue earlier last week.
The DPE will be worth approximately $1.7 million, which is half of Whitmore’s salary this season.
Whitmore will remain under contract with the Wizards next year for $5.5 million.
