The Washington Wizards have been one of the most active teams leading up to next week’s trade deadline. Washington has their sights set on making a major addition, with targets being Domantas Sabonis of the Indiana Pacers and Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons.
The Wizards are trying to prove to star guard Bradley Beal that they intend to build a winner around him. Beal has a player option for the 2022-23 season and is highly likely to opt for free agency. Both Washington and Beal have expressed interest in him saying, but the player has said the team needs to be competitive moving forward.
With an overstuff frontcourt, the Wizards have been offering players like Montrezl Harrell and the recently returned Thomas Bryant in trades. They also have recent draftees available as well.
