Less than a hour before tipoff…
An early game for the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons today on Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday as tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET. This is a home game for the Wizards and the second meeting of both teams. The previous meeting was on November 27, 2023 in Detroit where the Wizards won 126-107. This afternoon’s game will be televised on the Monumental Sports Network.
Giveaway on Game Day
Among the giveaways throughout the season, on MLK Day the Wizards will be giving out a Virginia Ali bobble head. Ali is the co-founder of the D.C. staple, Ben’s Chili Bowl.

She was amazed and surprised on the creation of the bobblehead itself.

Odds for today’s game
For once the Wizards are not the underdogs in the matchup with a minus 5.5 and the over/under is 240.5 via DraftKings Sportsbook. Not surprising as the Pistons are the worst team in the league with only three wins. Washington at the moment only has seven wins so overall they’re the better team.
