Saddleback Church, expelled from Southern Baptist Convention over women pastors, expected to appeal

Saddleback Church, the California megachurch kicked out of the Southern Baptist Convention on Tuesday over its decision to ordain women as pastors, is expected to appeal the expulsion this summer at the 13.7 million-member denomination’s annual business meeting.
