93-year-old woman killed after being struck by Howard County officer in parking lot

A Howard County police officer fatally struck a 93-year-old woman Thursday morning while driving in a Columbia parking lot, police said. Police said the plainclothed, on-duty officer was pulling out of a parking space in an unmarked vehicle at Dobbin Center around 6:45 a.m. when he struck the woman as she was walking by.
