At 7-feet tall, center Mark Williams has the size and skills to dominate at the college basketball level. With dozens of offers on table, Williams has decided to narrow down his list of potential schools.
Williams recently announced on Twitter that he has cut the number of his list down to seven. His list consists of Duke, Georgetown, N.C. State, Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA, and Virginia Tech.
247Sports rates Williams as a four-star prospect and the No. 36 recruit in the country. He is the No. 6 center in the nation, and the No. 3 recruit from the state of Virginia.
His first round of official visits will be to UCLA, Ohio State, and Duke, in that order, over the next few months.
Despite reducing the list all the way down to seven, there is a clear favorite for Williams’ commitment, at least in the opinions of recruiting analysts: Duke.
75-percent of voters at 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions currently give the Blue Devils the edge in landing him.
He visited Duke back in 2017, but only received a scholarship offer from the program this past April.
Duke already has two commitments from five-stars Jalen Johnson and Jeremy Roach. But they don’t have a big man in the middle just yet.
Will Mark Williams be the next Duke center?
