MORE TALK: Cooley Speaks with Local Media, Meet the Hoyas on Saturday

October 19, 2024 by Casual Hoya

NCAA Basketball: DePaul at Georgetown
Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

You can meet the team on Oct. 16 at 2PM in Red Square!

In case you have not heard yet, Ed Cooley and several members of the Georgetown Hoyas spoke to local and student media this week. This Saturday, October 19th, members of the team will be gathering in Georgetown’s Red Square for some food, games, giveaways, and more (s’mores) from 2-4PM. If you’re in the area and want to get in on the ground floor with these Hoyas, be sure to show your support for the team on Saturday at this meet-and-greet.

Are y’all ready for this?

Come out and meet the @GeorgetownHoops players and coaches tomorrow afternoon on campus at Red Square!

We’re pumped for this season and can’t wait to see the Hoya Family.

In a vacuum, these may seem like a rather mundane preseason exercises, but with a dozen new faces, an bullish top-90 Kenpom ranking, and whispers of a very competitive secret scrimmage against Maryland, fan optimism and expectations are creeping higher.

The Hoyas have an elite freshmen class. The future is bright for Georgetown and I spoke with Jeff Battle about the dynamic group & the impact they can have on the upcoming season.

Special thanks to Matt Modderno of Department of Hoops. Be sure to follow him on X and YouTube—and also catch his Wizards podcast with Forever Hoya Jahadi White.

It’s instantly apparent how much more talent there is on this year’s Georgetown roster. It might take them some time to grow into it but the foundation is there https://t.co/6ZfnZtguXH pic.twitter.com/ZcQXjQDHEO
