Updates from Ed Cooley and the Hoyas
In case you didn’t hear, the start of the season for your Georgetown Hoyas is a few short days away. Ed Cooley brought five players to BIG EAST Media Day, including Jayden Epps, Malik Mack, Micah Peavy, Thomas Sorber, and Julius Halaifonua.

Throughout the morning, Cooley was optimisitc, syaing that he really likes his team. He reiterated that Georgetown is the youngest team in the conference, if not all majors. Cooley mentioned his intention to use “retention” as recruitment now, with this young team.
Talking about defense, Cooley expects the Hoyas to defend much better, mostly based on the addition of length, athleticism, and players with the right mindset. Cooley did say the depth is improved—”it’ll be young depth”—but he expects guys like Epps will be playing 30-32 minutes per game.
