Earlier this afternoon, a ranking of the 50 “loudest” college football stadiums started floating around social media.
Of course, whenever an arbitrary list is put together, no one within the college sports world actually agrees to it. This list had a little added controversy with some big-name programs way down on the list.
Michigan and Texas are two of those, which sit outside the top 40, according to Big Game Boomer. Alabama is curiously low on the list as well, sitting at No. 27.
Here’s the full list.
Of course, fans couldn’t agree.
“The blatant disrespect to some of the schools on this list,” one fan said. “Michigan holds 105k+ and they’re at 44 lmao.”
Others think Texas A&M and Tennessee are ranked too high. “I’ve been to College Station and Neyland. Neither are louder than Auburn. Florida is but not Tennessee or A&M,” a fan said.
Another well-traveled fan thinks the list is relatively accurate. “I’ve been to 15 of these on the list. I’d say it’s fairly accurate. I’d give UGA a bump ahead of Carolina and drop A&M below Florida, though,” the fan said.
Is the list correct?
